Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained so a response can be prepared. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring website, when one exists
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser type and version
- The device’s IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help us measure traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. A browser can block cookies, although some website functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing and correcting technical faults
- Measuring which pages are useful and where improvements are needed
- Maintaining reliable and efficient site operation
- Routing a search request to the selected partner service
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site explains how to reach Okanogan County courts, the Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol records, and the Washington Sex Offender Public Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the selected provider’s privacy policy. Each provider controls its own retention and sharing rules, so review those terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Okanogan County offices, Washington court portals, state agencies, or outside services. Once a visitor follows such a link, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may use activity across websites to select ads. That process occurs through their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Advertising networks serving ads on the site
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security measures are used to protect collected information. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, however, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor’s information has been submitted, a deletion request may be made through the listed contact route.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide added rights. For government-source information, Washington’s Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW and Criminal Records Privacy Act, chapter 10.97 RCW govern public records and criminal history dissemination. With respect to data held by us, you can:
- Request deletion of your data
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek a copy of information held about you
- Opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. An updated version and effective date will be posted here when a change is made.
